With our deepest regret this did not work as well as we had hoped. As you may already know Golden Retriever's are just one of the Best Family Dog's ever!. We named her Sophie to which she responds very well to. She is just the sweetest puppy ever and a must have !We found her skittish to which is extremely hard to understand as we do not, and have not ONCE hit, kicked, nor harmed her in any sense of the word. Yet when she is scolded, she will run from you. She is found to be very independent and happy laying by herself, so not too much of a cuddlier. She loves playing fetch and return. She is frightened to death of a collar and a leash for NO reason. Therefore she will not go out for a walk or even a car ride. I just can't tell you how loving of a family she resides with, 4 adults, 1 cat and our first born golden retriever. There just simply is zero explanation as to why she shy's away. She will also pee when she gets super excited.Given we are in no hurry to rush her out the door, we will be screening for her new home, please do not feel offended if we ask a lot of questions. It is critical that she will be with someone that will truly love her, talk to her and treat her just as if she were human. We do love her and will miss her more than words can ever tell, but through much thoughts and conversations, we have decided that this is best for our family.
